24 Keys to Transcending the Ego ~ Frank M. Wanderer

TheEgo is the central figure of our personal history, based upon the past and looking into the future. It is a dissatisfied, possessive small ego that often makes our life a misery. It is for certain that this small ego–or, more precisely, what we believe is our Self, our Ego–coiled up tightly in the back of our mind, is responsible for a tremendous amount of senseless and unnecessary suffering and destruction in the history of mankind.

On our spiritual Journey arises the question, how we transcending the Ego?

Here are 24 Keys to transcending the Ego

Key 1. The Ego is not bad, it is simply unconscious.

Key 2. The Ego is responsible for the integrity of the personality, for our inner well-being.

Key 3. The Ego only pursues its own dreams and ambitions, and so it very often embitters our life.

Key 3. The components of the Ego are thoughts, emotions, memories (with which the person identifies as “my story”), fixed unconscious roles and collective identifications (nationality, religion, etc.). Most people completely identify with these components of the Ego, and for them no self “outside” of this exists.

Key 4. The identification of the Ego with things (object, the person’s own body, way of thinking) creates the link of the individual to various things. The Ego experiences his/her existence through the possession of various objects.

Key 5. The satisfaction provided by the sense of possession is, short, so the Ego usually carries on the pursuit for new objects. There is a powerful motivation behind this activity of the Ego, a psychological demand to obtain more, the unconscious sense of “not yet enough,” and this feeling surfaces in a want for more.

Key 6. The content of the Ego will then be the thing with which the individual identified him/herself (my house, my car, my child, my intelligence, my opinion, etc.). The contents of the Ego (with which the individual identifies) are shaped by the environment and upbringing of the person, that is, the culture in which the person becomes an adult.

Key 7. The thoughts such as “it’s mine,” “I want it,” “I need it,” “it is not enough,” belong to the structure of the Ego. The content of the Ego changes with time; it is replaced with new contents. No content is, however, able to lastingly satisfy the Ego as long as the structure of the Ego remains in its place.

Key 8. The Ego keeps looking for something different, something that promises a greater satisfaction, making the sense of self of the individual more complete.

Key 9. The Ego wants to possess more and more, wants to become more and more powerful. More knowledge, more faith, more material wealth. The Ego wants to devour more and wants to do it more anxiously. That is how the Ego becomes a tyrant and dominates our life to an increasing extent.

Key 10. The Ego is shaped by the past, determining its structure and contents. The structure of the Ego is an unconscious factor, which forces the individual to reinforce his/her identity by joining an external object.

Key 11. The Ego is but a mental production, a system of beliefs.

Key 12. The Ego strives to protect, sustain and expand itself. The Ego functions in survival mode. The statement that the Ego functions in a survival mode means that it continually struggles to remain “psychologically alive,” so it regards other Egos as rivals or even enemies.

Key 13. One of the most important strategies of the Ego to sustain and reinforce itself is the experience of “I am right.” This is the identification of an idea, position, evaluation. Nothing gives the Ego more power than experiencing that “I am right.”  It is the desire of the Ego to be right, and thus overcome the other, ensuring its own superiority.

Key 14. One of the favorite self-reinforcing strategies of the Ego is complaining. Complaining implies the sense that “I am right.” When another Ego refuses to accept that “I am right,” it is an offense to the complaining Ego, which. in turn, further reinforces its self-awareness.

Key 15. The Ego intends to elevate the forms (including its own form) to eternity, which is impossible. This intention of the Ego will be the source of all sufferings, because its world of forms and shapes shall collapse like a sandcastle after a while, until death snatches away the last of the forms: its body from it.

Key 16. Our entire culture and civilization rest upon the selfish and possessive Ego and, as the Ego created the institutions of society, these institutions are also the expressions of the Ego.

Key 17. In most people identifies with that socially conditioned Ego. At a number of people this identification is so powerful that they are unaware that their life is governed by a socially conditioned Mind.

Key 18. The Ego must fall, as it is against the evolutionary development of the Consciousness.

Key 19. If an individual is able to notice and observe the functions of the Ego, he or she will be able to transcend it.

Key 20. We must reach beyond our Ego-dominated mind programs, because if we fail to do that, we will eventually destroy ourselves and a large part of the world.

Key 21. One of the ways of transcending the Ego is not reacting wholeheartedly to the ever-changing caleidoscope of thoughts and emotions, but concentrating on the alert Consciousness in the background instead.

Key 22. The Ego calls itself real and the only existing ”Self,” though it is nothing more than a conceptual product, the continually changing content of the space of Consciousness

Key 23. In the space of Consciousness, in the state of pure consciousness the person recognizes and clearly experiences that Ego is a fraud.

Key 24. The Truth is that we are the embodiment of Life, we are born into this world as a result of a miracle, and later we are lost amidst the multitude of teachings and dogmas.

The Evolutionary Purpose of the Ego ~ Frank M. Wanderer, Ph.D

Ego Love

By Frank M. Wanderer, Ph.D

Guest writer for Wake Up World

We live here on this Earth, in the world of individual “Selves”. We dwell in the empire of seven billion separate and isolated Egos, and in the domain of the Ego we tend to forget about the Miracle of Consciousness. The Ego only pursues its own dreams and ambitions, and so it very often embitters our life.

We must face reality: there is a tyrannic “small ego” in everybody’s head, and this small ego keeps grumbling and complaining all the time. It is a dissatisfied, possessive ego that often makes our life a misery. It is for certain that this small ego – or, more precisely, what we believe is our Self, our Ego – coiled up tightly in the back of our mind, is responsible for a tremendous amount of senseless and unnecessary suffering and destruction in the history of mankind.

The Birth of the Ego

Ego, as the organizing and controlling centre of our personality, is responsible for creating a balance between the individuals and their environment. In these efforts, Ego is assisted by two other components of our personality: Persona(that is, the “role personality”) and the Shadow. These two components fulfill a protective function, as Persona screens potentially harmful effects from the external world, whereas the Shadow does the same with threats arising from the unconscious. These components together constitute the identity of the person.

A baby does not yet have a personality, an Ego, an identity separate from their mother. For a baby, the world is a mixture of tastes, voices, colours, forms and impressions, the elements of which are indiscernible. There is no Self and non-Self, a baby still lives in an unconscious unity. As a consequence of urging bodily needs to be satisfied and unavoidable clashes with the external world, with “reality”, the harmony between the baby and the outside world will be disrupted. The baby learns to walk, and the world opens up for them. They learn to speak, which will open up social life. In this way, the baby will be gradually detached from the mother, and a separate “Self” emerges in them, and the Ego is thus born.

With the acquisition of the ability of speech, the child increasingly identifies with their name. “Little Stevie is hungry!” – the child says, and gradually learns the concept of “me” and “mine”. The child is increasingly convinced that the more they possess and the more often they assert their own will, the stronger their own personality will be. That is how the Ego emerges, the attention turns away from the Miracle and the Consciousness submerges into that dream. The world is becoming larger and larger for the child, they possess more and more, and the Ego grows and becomes stronger. Then follows the kindergarten age, when the child learns to play and assume roles, thus shaping and developing the Persona, that is, the role personality, creating the beginnings of the masks they are going to wear later.

In the unconscious, the Shadow is being formed in parallel with the masks. The patterns of behaviour rejected by the adults in the child’s environment will sink into subconscious, as these patterns are in opposition to the role and mask of the “good child”. That is how the methods of unconscious operation of the Ego take shape.

The Rise of the Ego

When the child gets to school, they learn more and more – often unconsciously – from the adults, from parents, teachers, and unquestioningly accepts everything told them by the grown-up people that the child considers omniscient.

When the child grows and becomes older, they fully identify with their ideas, name and gender, with the masks they have acquired, their qualifications, titles, job and property, learns stories, and their personal life story will be a part of their Ego, increasing the content of that Ego.

And the Ego wants to possess more and more, wants to become more and more powerful. More knowledge, more faith, more material wealth. The Ego wants to devour more and wants to do it more anxiously. That is how the Ego becomes a tyrant and dominates our life to an increasing extent.

The Ego identifies with the human being, a “special species” that has privileges on Earth where all creatures live, and humans are destined to rule over all other creatures. They want to conquer and subdue nature, then they are alienated and separated from nature, though they should be an organic and inseparable part of it–in fact, identical with it.

Ego (which is but a mental production, a system of beliefs) confronts the deep-rooted, natural program of life, instincts, emotional warning signs, and chases them away, replacing them with neurosis, stress and a burnt-out state. What is more, in certain cases it is even able to destroy the individual in a variety of ways. It also confronts the external world (“Let us conquer Earth!”), the extermination of species, violence, wars and ecological disasters show the path of man on Earth. Terrorists, religious fundamentalists, nations fighting wars of conquests, power maniac politicians and uninhibited business people–they are all representatives of the overgrown Ego. Our entire culture and civilization rest upon the selfish and possessive Ego and, as the Ego created the institutions of society, these institutions are also the expressions of the Ego.

The Downfall of the Ego

The social and ecological crises that threaten mankind and our Earth force us to make a choice. We must reach beyond our Ego-dominated mind programs, because if we fail to do that, we will eventually destroy ourselves and a large part of the world!

The Ego must therefore fall, as it is against the evolutionary development of the Consciousness. The downfall of the Ego may take place in two ways: a beautiful, dignified way or a painful one, full of suffering. But both ways will take us to the same goal: the Miracle, the awakening Consciousness.

We are very well acquainted with the journey full of pain. A basic aspiration of every Ego is growth, to become larger, stronger and more solid in the world of forms and shapes. It wants to posses more, to get higher and higher in the hierarchic structure of the world, and it wants to conquer a larger and larger territory. Under the spell of the forms and shapes, the Ego devotes all its energy to make the forms constant, disregarding the only constant law of the forms and shapes: every form is transient, and everything is subject to birth and death.

The Ego intends to elevate the forms (including its own form) to eternity, which is impossible. This intention of the Ego will be the source of all sufferings, because its world of forms and shapes shall collapse like a sandcastle after a while, until death snatches away the last of the forms: its body from it. It came empty-handed from Nothing, and that is how it is going to return there. The only treasure it could take along with it is its wakefulness, but the Ego considers that worthless in the world of forms and shapes, as it was not a means of increasing the tyrannical power the Ego.

The Spiritual Birth

The better, more attractive way leading to the re-discovery of the Miracle, begins around the middle of the human life, when the individual, under the effects of their experience, tends to recognize the operating mechanisms of the Ego and realizes how tyrannical the Ego is. The person then turns away from forms and shapes towards transcendental world, free of forms. That is what one of the most famous psychologist, Carl Gustav Jung, called the spiritual birth of man.

That spiritual birth starts with the recognition that most people only make in articulo mortis: that turning away from the Miracle and identification with the forms and shapes is the reason for all our sufferings. A person making that recognition gradually gives up their identification with the forms and shapes, and steps back from the whirling of the world into a more quiet area. In this way they will be more alert to themselves and their environment. The clear sky of Consciousness will be contaminated by fewer and fewer clouds, giving way to the return to the Miracle of Consciousness.

In the space of Consciousness — the state of pure consciousness — the person recognizes and clearly experiences that Ego is a fraud. The Ego calls itself real and the only existing “Self”, though it is nothing more than a conceptual product, the continually changing content of the space of Consciousness that diverts our attention from experiencing the only reality: the Miracle.

The spiritual “newborn” in the pure state of consciousness, in meditation, in the wakeful state of focusing on itself, seeks and searches that complaining and arrogant, constantly chatting Ego in its mind, but finds it nowhere. The individual penetrates all the way to the source of that voice, but when they attempt to grab it, it slips away and vanishes. The internal monologue, the voice of Ego stops and disappears, it is lost into No-thingness, and the person experiences that there is not other “Self” but the Consciousness. The individual will then realize that the only natural remedy against the paranoid overgrowing of the Ego is wakefulness and attention.

This is the beginning of a life of different quality: experiencing the Miracle, which is salvation for the entire mankind. First as prehistoric people we recognized our bodily needs, in the Middle Ages we experienced extreme emotions, in the modern age we worship the power of the mind, and now we are on the threshold of a new period in evolution. We recognize that beyond the realm of sensations, emotions and thoughts there is a wakeful, attentive, loving, conscious, factual “something’ – and that “something”, that Miracle is me. That is how the human race, waking to Consciousness from the dream of the Ego, is born again.

Are you spiritual Newborn? Why not complete the following Conscious Alertness Quiz?

Le’Vell Zimmerman ~ … beyond the Ego mind identity

Tatiana Plakhova_black woman

art by Tatiana Plakhova

Through detaching more from the separated natures of the Mind identity you are able to elevate beyond participating in the many outer dramas being promoted by the Dark involving racism, victimization, discrimination and other forms of chaos which are for the purpose of dividing humanity even more as a distraction amongst what is truly taking place here on your surface.

It is through grounding yourself beyond the Ego mind identity that you realize that you are “God” and not your physical body or any other superficial aspect of the physical, emotional, or intellectual differences that are expressed amongst the vastness of creation, where as the Creator all is your own creation beyond the illusion of separation.

Know that those souls being emotionally manipulated into participating in the quarrels, debates, and outer dramas of violence and social injustices involving souls of different ethnicities are being emotionally manipulated into lower frequencies that are self destructive in nature as an aspect of keeping as much of humanity as possible stuck within the illusion of enslavement, where those of the Dark are orchestrating these actions in recognizing the generations of energetic blockages and social resentment that they’ve implement amongst this species throughout the entirety of your recent linear experience.

Truly awakened souls know to remain detached from participating in such chaos as the Dark wants you to “get angry”, “choose sides”, and/or embrace one aspect of creation over another, in sensing the separated nature of these mind games, in it being necessary to recognize that amongst the divine essence that is this holographic experience there are no “enemies” or victims, where those souls not able to heal themselves beyond such distortions will remain within reincarnation cycles exiting this planet in a short time only to be born on other worlds within the same state until they are able to evolve beyond such illusions within the truth of unity amongst all life.

Bar_rainbow

It is necessary to continue to realize that you are exactly where you designed yourself to be energetically in this now moment, where this perfection is also a natural aspect of your entire existence in sensing the counterproductive nature of the Ego minds activity in feeling there is something you don’t have that you truly need, which is never really the case.

As you ground yourself more into a space of peace you can sense how this mental activity remains based in fear and truly represents the Darks mind control programming attempting to stimulate low frequency emotions amongst your presence as you shine brighter in elevating your frequency.

This mental voice of analysis will continue to affect souls not embracing the practices of grounding themselves on a daily basis, where this is a choice amongst those truly working hard in remaining on this Ascension path beyond all the doubts, worries, and fear based questions that look for validation outside through asking others, “Hey, am I Ascending?” or “Who decides if we get to Ascend?, where this is clearly an individual choice which includes an intuitive stream of proactive participation through you as a physical manifestation of the Creator.

Know that there is nothing that you don’t know that you need to know consciously, where the same principle of perfection applies to the resources you have access to in this now moment, in sensing how entertaining the voice in your head is the root of all stagnation and confusion at present in sensing how those still allowing themselves to be manipulated by this voice are still asking those around them, “What should I do? I don’t know where to start… I should mediate right?”, when such a reality is much more integrated than having to be told what to do.

Knowing Myself By Letting Go – Alan Watts

If you can look . . . without the observer, a totally different action takes place
Questioner: If we are all that background, the past, who is the observer who is looking at the past? How do we separate the past and the entity who says, ‘I am looking at it’?

Krishnamurti: Who is the entity, the observer that is looking at the past? Who is the entity, the thought, the being -whatever you call it- who says, ‘I am looking at the unconscious’?

There is a separation between the observer and the observed. Is that so? Is not the observer the observed? Therefore, there is no separation at all! Go slowly into this. If you could understand this one thing it would be the most extraordinary phenomenon that could take place. Do you understand the question? There is the unconscious as well as the conscious, and I say that I must know all about it; I must know the content and also the state of consciousness when there is no content, which is a step further, which we will go into if we have time.

I am looking at it. I say, the observer says, that the unconscious is the past; the unconscious is the race into which I was born, the tradition -not only the tradition of society but of the family, the name, the residue of the whole Indian culture, the residue of all of humanity with all its problems, anxieties, guilt, and so on. I am all that, and that is the unconscious, which is the result of time, of many thousands of yesterdays, and there is the ‘me’ who is observing it. Now, who is the observer? Again, find out for yourself; discover who the observer is! Don’t wait for me to tell you!

The Most Deeply Rooted Mind Game ~ Frank M. Wanderer Ph.D

galactic eye

The Ego-dominated mind plays its games in daily life, and creates the characters and scenarios necessary for the games. The content of such a scenario is determined by the individual’s environment and upbringing, that is, the culture in which we grow up. As a result, entirely different scenarios are created in the various cultures of our Earth.

At the beginning of our spiritual journey, we identify with these scenarios. The scenarios provide us with the sense of a solid identity. The patterns of thoughts fixed in the scenarios are manifested in various mind games during our daily life.

In the course of our journey leading to Consciousness, our objective should not be creating a positive character, and thus a pleasant scenario, but finding the Existence behind every scenario. The first step is examining the scenarios, these conditioned thought-patterns, in the light of Consciousness. Let us of our most deeply  rooted mind game.

An elementary endeavour of every Ego is growing: to be “more”, larger and powerful. They strive to be higher and higher in the hyerarchic structure of the world, conquering more and more territory. The individual’s ambitions grow and grow, reaching larger and larger areas.

Ambitions are planted in a child by parents and teachers. Parents tend to think of an even yet unborn child as someone who is going to achieve the parents’ own’s unfulfilled ambitions.

With the educational means of reward and punishment, children are conditioned to excel among their peers, to be the best, strongest, most beautiful, etc. When the children meet the parental–and thus the social–expectations, they are rewarded, when not, they are punished. They therefore soon learn to be ambitious.

These ambitions, though based upon the past, always aim at the future. All through our lives we pursue illusionary objectives, spurred by various ambitions.Naturally, it is not impossible to satisfy an ambition, but it is immnediately replaced by a thousand others, as there are so many areas of life where we have not yet reached our ambitions.

That is how we chase senseless goals all through our lives until we die, when we realize that everybody leaves this world empty-handed, even those who lived their whole lives chasing mirages of past and future.

Look into yourself to see what is in you now! See what ambitions are driving you along on the sea of life and in what direction?

Every moment spent awake we face two alternatives. A choice is to be made between the ambitions stretching between past and future or the quiet, simple, pure emptiness of the present moment, full of vibrating life. It is-however-only the latter that brings the Witnessing Presence!

Continuously Creating You

Message from Archangel Metatron
received by Julie Miller
August 12, 2015

When the ego is permitted to roam uncontrollably, oftentimes you find yourself making trifle matters mountainous.
Errors that come from the words that dribble from your mouth or written in a form of a comment, is often exaggerated, bloated and far from your pure and natural self.

How often are shallow excuses used to explain the reasons and whys you have not followed through on something? The ego that is always hungry and thirsty for attention often disguises itself inside one of your excuses or complaints.

It is important to realize and to recognize that the words you express are actually demonstrations of your attitude, your level of understanding, your interpretation and your values. Your emotions and feelings are affected by any of these when they are imbalanced and no longer in harmony with your heart. Indulging in the temptation to judge or to criticize others only reflects how you are thinking of yourself.

If your actions, words and choices reflect only our little, egoic self, the self that requires to be the center of attention, then you end up creating a roiling nest of negative emotions and feelings.

Use your Light-filled energy to fill every instance regardless of its size to work through and beyond the drama of your over-stimulated mind. Use your Light-filled energy to do random acts of kindness and helpfulness without anticipating or expecting any form of reward.

When you come forth shining from the pure Light that inside of you, waiting to be discovered, you are sharing the most treasured part of yourself…your LOVE and when you share unconditional love in all things and with all people, your little egoic self cannot compete. Love, sweet, love is the cure and healer of all afflictions that cause misunderstanding and separation.

The more aware you become of what is going on inside of you, the more you will know what you want, what changes are needed, and how to prioritize what is most important.

Coming from a place of pure love does not mean you have perfected your Self, it just means you’ve accepted ALL of your faults and strengths as a continuous creation of your whole and complete you.

The De-Conditioning of the Ego

ego burning

Ida Lawrence, Contributor
Waking Times

What could a person possibly gain from insecurity? What could be the reward of feeling undeserving? Why would we harbor low self-esteem? Why do we think against ourselves? These states are not natural to our essence or inner being, so why… where did the urge to give away our power come from?

I grew up in the American Midwest, in a place where people worked very hard for not a lot of reward. And yet, I can’t remember a single instance of a farmer saying ‘I deserve’ a better life. Everyone I knew behaved as if self-denial was humble and spiritual and a sign of goodness, and ‘I deserve’ was presumptuous and greedy.

It’s the ego that makes these comparisons. Ego identity comes with the situation we’re born into, formed by interacting with who and what is in our world, and by what works for us as we go out into our world. It’s the character we think we are, the separate I and me, as we deal with others.

This is just a guess, but I’m thinking the inferior ego of my early upbringing could be a very old pattern, related to the class system. These farming families are descendants of European immigrants, pioneers to the Midwest. They brought their cultures, Christian religion and languages with them, as well as their ideas about who they are, collectively.

Their story: “We are from peasants and fishermen. We believe that it is virtuous to ask for nothing, and that nothing is deserved. Everything must be earned by dedicated hard work, belief in God, cooperation with authority, and acceptance of the hard realities of life. If we live right, the reward will come, if not here, then after death.”

This is definitely a ‘system approved’ mindset, and it even sounds kind of high-minded, doesn’t it?

That’s the cultural womb in which I developed. When I left the farm for the much different big city, I had nothing to go on but my flawed goodness, self-critical inner voice, and insecurity. It’s such a relief to look back on situations and choices, realizing that ‘inferiority’ was the set-up. This is deep conditioning, and as I look at it now, it explains a lot about how and why we suffer.

There are many avenues to inferior ego, and class is just one. It’s amazing, when you think about it… the incoming messages telling us how, for this reason or that reason, we are flawed in comparison to others. Of course if the messages are trans-generational they not only hit home, they’re firmly established as normal and natural. We develop thought patterns and emotions around them, and ways of coping.

Ego is concerned with ‘something for me’, so the ways of coping would grant the ego ‘something’. What is there to gain from doubting oneself? Avoidance of confrontation – that’s a biggie. Then we have hidden pride in one’s humbleness and sacrifice. Fitting the description of what God wants is another. There’s also the opportunity to endlessly think about ourselves because there is so much to fix.

If you’re into New Age, you may decide that by sufficiently putting yourself down it means you’ve gotten rid of the ego. At this point the flipside can show up and you become ‘superior’ at manifesting the soul. Badness gone, goodness here, I am nothing… let me become a teacher. Hopefully if that happens, the dishonesty in it will be felt, and you’ll look for the exit, pronto.

Obviously ego is not going to get rid of the ego… which is a fruitless effort in itself. We can’t rid ourselves of the ego, nor should we try. We can see its doings, notice what it’s saying, feel it when it fires up the emotions, sit it back down, and make sure our decisions come from the heart. Ego has a place, just not as the driver. It’s a great relief, that day when you notice the ego’s not significant enough to get in the way anymore. The heart is being called in to make decisions.

It took a long time for me to see how I had embraced inferiority and that I was conditioned to give my power away. Thankfully, painful experiences sent me in the direction of self-knowledge and expansion of consciousness. Into my world came great books, teachers, healers and wise friends, and the thought… I deserve to be ‘not this miserable’. That was the beginning.

By the way, we can tell the difference between when the ego says ‘I deserve’ and when the heart says ‘I deserve’. I think realizing this is key. Relating it to myself, fear that I’d be deemed a bad person, or that my choices would be self-serving and harmful to others, kept me in insecurity for quite a while. I wonder how many of us have experienced this. I suspect quite a few.

We don’t need to apologize for having an ego, and for its identity being formed by the conditioning we experienced. That’s part of life on earth. We live and grow, and uncover our connection to Source experience by experience. By the time we begin to make heart-based decisions, the conditioning will have much less effect, and the ego will be diminished and diminishing. It’s a beautiful thing when we can see the way to our true selves… that full, all-inclusive, ‘divinity within’ human being.

I wouldn’t bring this up and share it if it hadn’t been vital to my own expansion of consciousness and possibly helpful to you: loving ourselves is step one on the heart-centered path. “I deserve to be loved,” was an incredibly difficult statement for me to contemplate, and it took the following words to open the door: “And so I will begin by giving myself the love I deserve.”

Give yourself the love you deserve, give yourself the respect you deserve, give yourself the health, the appreciation, the kindness, the honor, the liberation from conditioning that you deserve. You are not ‘less than’ or unworthy. If there is a voice in your head that argues about your worthiness, know that it is the ego, and this opinion you can safely let go.

Heart-based decisions will never do harm. The heart is not the seat of sentimentality… it is the seat of courage and devotion to that which is sacred in us and in life. The intention of the heart is aligned with the highest good, which is love, and the highest good for ourselves translates into the highest good for all, including those close to us. This is your power: take it back.

In the heart we live for ourselves, not against. In so doing we can’t help but live for the world, intending and creating the world of beauty that we deserve.

Divine Awareness through Interior Resonance

Cameron Gray_The-Neverending-Dreamer

art by Cameron Gray

In the journey of awakening and transforming to our true being as a Divine soul emanating as a Divine physical body, we progressively generate the Divine harmonic frequency from our unique aspect of infinite unity consciousness. Our Divine soul exists infinitely and is experiencing the unity with all through points of reference.  We are each expressions of the one Divine unity.

The False Egoic Mind Loop and Exterior Inharmonic Frequencies

For thousands of years, humanity has been experiencing the Divine soul in the physical frequencies with a limiting false overlay consciousness.  This is the thinking mind and dualistic physical frequency that is a fear-based consciousness of conflict, control, and separation.  Without this program, the Divine soul would perfectly express a unique Divine harmonic frequency through the body in infinite ways of love and creativity on Earth.  While the soul is in harmonic resonance with all, it is participating in generating the harmonic Divine frequency.  Each soul does this from its awareness—both as its unique awareness and its awareness in intersubjective unity as the other.  Thus, the Divine awareness is always emanating and expressing from a perspective of interior resonance.  Here, the interior is the exterior, and the exterior is the interior.  However, the unity is referenced from the interior soul generations.  This is the Divine soul’s participation as Divine Being.

Because of the false overlay of which we are healing and transforming, we have been susceptible to exterior resonant frequencies.  In the fear-based consciousness, the thinking mind is conditioned by a time sequence frequency loop.  This circuit is imprinted with beliefs, emotional reactions, actions, and experiences.  The false loop was originally conditioned by an external catalyst.  It is a distortion of our true infinite being that is love and creativity as Divine unity.  Once conditioned, the time loop circuit generates and operates without any external stimulus. This is the false inharmonic frequencies that we project into the world from conditioned experience.

The mission of transforming is to release the entire false operating system of the thinking mind and reactive emotional system and the body’s adaptation to them.  The time loop of the false egoic identity is also triggered directly by external inharmonic frequencies.  Currently, the human culture is producing external inharmonic frequency through all of its systems.  Therefore, the false egoic mind of conflict, separation, and incoherence, is maintained both internally and externally.

The Divine Soul Generates the Divine Harmonic in Interior Resonance

In awakening, we can be assisted by harmonic frequencies referenced as exterior, i.e. galactic information, the sun’s transducing consciousness, nature and other person’s higher consciousness.  While these Divine frequencies are all helpful in our experiential journey, we must generate the Divine harmonic solely from interior consciousness.  We must generate the universal resonance through awareness of the universal harmonic.  It is our soul path to awaken to our Divine nature and to be this frequency. It infinitely generates and emanates from within the core of our being—a core that is limitless, non-local, and non-dual.  It is the essence of who we are as spirit, soul, intelligent being, Light mind, and physical body.  We are love.

Love does not need to know itself. It just is.  It is infinite knowing itself.  In its infinite beauty, love is forever deepening and expanding.  It moves so fast in its dynamism that it is perfectly still.  At once, it is a pure silence and musical harmony of infinite expression.  Love does not need duality, time, space, and duration to learn or harmonically know itself.  Love is all knowing and all feeling.

Humanity in the Divine Frequency of Uniqueness in Unity

Within a false overlay of 3D fear-based distortion, we have confused unique frequency configuration with duality.  We are all unique souls with an interior unity as Divine love.  We do not need a false perception of an external in order to communicate and experience the Earth and each other as infinite souls emanating as a physical body.  There are no external frequencies that we need to resonate with.  This is the illusion of the false matrix overlay of a conflict, control, and separation consciousness.  We are the Divine frequency, and our Divine Being as that frequency expresses and experiences itself in all its uniqueness as others and the world.  We are an infinite love and creativity without static, friction, and noise.  We are a pure fluid harmonic being without limits, resistance, and restriction.

In whatever way we may call it—our awakening, remembering, transforming, evolving, or ascending, our journey on Earth is to be the love that we are.  While all of our interior and exterior experiences are currently a part of this journey, we must ultimately know and be that love.  It comes from the depths and heights of being where there is no dimension.  It is who we are as Divine spirit and Divine soul.  And as we shift in awareness on Earth, it is us as a Divine Light mind and Divine feeling physical body.  This shift in dimensional frequency, where the Divine fully emanates as the Divine physical on Earth, is the cessation of resonance with the false matrix of fear-based consciousness of conflict, control, and separation that is egoic identity.   We will experience our true Divine soul of Divine Being as a Divine physical body on Earth.

Humanity Emanates Divine Being from the Infinite Present Within

In whatever way we may travel to realize our true Divine being on Earth, it is in the infinite present that we must just be the knowing, love, and creativity that we are.  There is no answer to becoming our being from the outside—no teachings, books, religions, spiritualities, esoterics, sciences, meditations, silence, beliefs, energy healings, sound frequencies,  gateways, portals, channelings, animals, plants, crystals, metaphysics, or anything.  We can be grateful for all of these because they prepare us and focus us to ultimately understand that we already are the answer.  We just could not see it under the veils, illusions, matrices, and distortions of the false conditioning of duality consciousness.  We can only generate our Divine frequency through the mystery of being.

May we open to the Divine awareness of our interior resonance, and be the love and creativity in infinite freedom.  Within freedom, our Divine soul as physical body resonates with the Divine all in love, joy, peace, and creative action on Earth.

Transcending the Introvert/Extrovert Duality

mandala web

There’s a lot of talk about introverts and extroverts lately, and quite frankly, I don’t believe viewing yourself as either of those things is very healthy. I think we all know the dangers of defining ourselves through the ego, and that’s exactly what calling yourself an introvert or an extrovert does, it’s an ego definition. It limits how you see yourself, and it limits your behavior too.

An introvert is focused upon the inner, while an extrovert is focused upon the outer. Who can say their lives are fully either of those things? The inner and the outer are constantly interacting, you bring up the inner and share it with the outer, that’s self-expression. Likewise, you take what you see in the outer and integrate it into your inner world, that’s how you experience life. The inner and the outer aren’t really separate at all, but deeply interconnected, and the “line” between them is largely an illusion created by your mind.

We live in a materialistic, outward-focused society, and it’s difficult to fit in if you don’t conform to this paradigm. Spiritually-oriented people can’t help but feel alienated in this type of society, because it discredits and ignores the inner world. The more empathic beings generally withdraw into themselves, and pull away from society because it offers little that really feeds the Soul.

So the introvert is more comfortable alone, and the extrovert is more comfortable around others. Let me rephrase that so the problems with seeing yourself and others based upon this dualistic paradigm is more clear. An extrovert is less comfortable being alone, and an introvert is less comfortable around others. These are both dysfunctional behaviors. You can’t live your whole life alone, nor can you live your whole life surrounded by others, so if you view yourself as an introvert/extrovert, you’re always going to have uncomfortable situations.

If you don’t like being alone, you really need to look deep within yourself and ask why. There’s a problem you have with yourself, and your own self-image is likely defined heavily based upon how others see you. Releasing those bonds will lead to greater self-confidence and help create a stronger social presence.

Humans are social beings, and avoiding interacting with other people is not healthy. Relationships are powerful things, and your own growth and development is assisted by our interactions with other people. Just like the extrovert, an introvert is usually overly concerned with how other people see them, but to avoid the issue they just limit their social interaction. There’s a nasty trap there because then social skills start to atrophy, which leads to more awkwardness in social situations, which leads to even less social interaction.

If we had a society that really accepted people the way they are, introverts and extroverts would disappear, there’d just be happy people. I really see an introvert as someone who needs to work on their outer world, and an extrovert as someone who needs to work on their inner world. Then you can truly be a holistic being, and not defined by such shallow labels.

Minimizing Ego, Realizing Self ~ Paul Lenda

paris-hilton-phootoscelebrities

By Paul Lenda, Guest Writer for Wake Up World, December 8, 2014 – http://tinyurl.com/nls4cnn

For many of us, the question “Who am I?” is a much more difficult one than we let ourselves believe. The ego, the “I”, or self that we feel we are, is largely a figment of our self-created reality. Ultimately, our true self is not the ego which feels it is separate from others, but a part of an undivided whole that has the same spark of infinite love that is within everyone and everything — even if it seems sometimes that this is not the case.

The ego can become so incredibly empowered at times that we may fall into the trap of believing that it is the real and genuine “I” that we should associated our awareness with. If we have such a belief we will be unable to become fully self-realized and live a completely liberated life that is guided by love. When we directly experience and are aware of the true self, we find ourselves being aware of the reality that we are water drops from an infinite sea.

The ego is unreal in a way. We create it in order to cope with our social interactions. The ego is a false center, a smokescreen, and a barrier to the true Self. It’s what gets in the way of experiencing unconditional love. It’s what gets in the way of directly experiencing the source of reality. It’s the deeply-buried but always-present intuition that we are the center of the universe/everything that gives rise to feelings and beliefs in our uniqueness and specialness. What we see ourselves as being, which is a perception that stems from our time-and-sense-bound consciousness is ultimately unreal.

All of our self-limiting activities grow out of this false picture of ourselves and because of this we conjure up an idea of a dualistic world of self and other, of things separated and isolated, of pain and struggle, birth and death, killing and being killed, etc etc etc. This picture of reality that we paint for ourselves is untrue because it’s not seeing reality for the way it truly is. A good analogy for this is that it’s like looking at the tip of an iceberg above the water and refusing to acknowledge the most of it is still underneath the water.

If we could see beyond the continuously-changing forms into the primary reality, we would realize that fundamentally there is nothing but harmony and unity and that this perfection is no different from the phenomenal world of continuous change and transformation.

I’m not saying that the ego is inherently “wrong” to posses – we all possess it, after all. It can be likened to a tool that we have and can use and just like with any tool, if you don’t have it under control, it carries with it the potential to become dangerous, and cause you and others a great deal of harm, pain, and suffering. This is why I used the term ego minimization.

As you transcend lower levels of consciousness that are firmly rooted within the domain of the ego, you become less and less prone to falling into the grip of the ego and letting it sway you every which way it pleases. Through ego minimization, we are able to directly experience the true nature of who we are. The question of “Who am I?” becomes a much easier question to answer when we get out of our own way.

Self-realization in its fundamental and most elementary meaning is the direct experience and awareness of the true self (that luminous spark of the source of all that is that is all that is within itself). The higher Self is often masked by the false self, which by now you probably see is the ego. Both transpersonal psychology and psychosynthesis explore and unravel the nature of self-realization. In Hinduism, it refers to the experiencing the reality that one’s higher Self is a mirror image and spark of the the Source or ultimate reality. By minimizing the ego and truly honoring the Self, enlightenment becomes a state of existence we can finally attain.

So how can we get from an ego-dominated life to a self-realized one filled with harmony and unity? There’s many ways to go about it. Some ways are the following:

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but simply a list of ways that have helped me in my own self-realization. In an age where youth see a lack of true leaders to help them in their quest to answer the age-old question of “Who am I?”, many turn to psychedelics in order to peel away the thick layers of false-self that the ego has hidden our true self under.

Although enlightenment doesn’t come on a piece of paper, or in a pill, or a sugar cube, there are some who are now self-realized who attribute their awakening to breaking down ego in this way. But attachment to the technology that opened the door for us must too be left behind, if genuine and enlightenment are our goals.

Whatever methods you use for minimizing the ego, it is ultimately the end-result that truly matters, not the path you take to get to it. Pay attention to how your ego controls your thoughts and actions so that you can recognize it, and reduce its grasp on your life. Once you identify how ego affects you, you can minimize its influence on your being, helping to clear your way to that blissful state of pure be-ing.

If you truly wish to become enlightened, starting within is a fundamental step.

Are you ready to peel away the layers of illusion?

Why We Get Mad When Others Challenge What We Believe In

by Joe Martino

Thousands of years ago the earth was the center of the universe. Hundreds of years ago the earth was flat. Today, we know both of these things to be false given what we have discovered about our world and the solar system. However, when people first started bringing the idea forward that what people believed about the earth being flat or the center of the universe was false, they were met with extreme resistance and were considered to be crazy. Regardless of the fact that today we might laugh at these ideas because we know them to be false, back then it was so heavily believed and engrained into people’s minds. You could say there is a striking resemblance between what was happening during those times and what is happening now with those who are awakening to what is really going on here on earth.

Truth passes through three phases: First it is ridiculed. Second it is fiercely and violently opposed. Third, it becomes self-evident.
— Arthur Schopenhauer

Arthur Schopenhauer’s quote perfectly brings light to the truth of how humans often operate when beliefs or world views are challenged. Simple ridicule to brush off new ideas is often phase one, as at this point the new beliefs are not seen as much of a threat. Then new ideas or beliefs are violently opposed as the weight and truth of them becomes more evident. The idea of having to change ones world view becomes more prominent and fear sets in. Finally, when all is clear and proven beyond any reasonable doubt, the truth that was once so heavily opposed and ridiculed is revealed as self-evident. Why does this happen?
The Ego

To understand this process we have to look no further than the human ego. The word ego is often associated with one’s sense of pride or vanity for themselves. While these characteristics do come from the ego, the ego is more than that. The ego is a false sense of self that we believe to be who we are. Any idea of identity or concept about who we are, is ego. This means ego often turns up in how we choose to act, think of ourselves and others, how we dress, our emotions etc. The ego can also be seen as a protective layer that separates us from everyone else. While this protection is not necessary, to the ego it is its means of defending itself from the differences of others. When you look at yourself in the mirror and think you need to change something about your appearance, it is your ego. When you feel you are not worthy of something, it is your ego. When you walk down the street and judge another person for their actions or clothing choices, it is your ego. Many of the thoughts that keep you thinking and out of the moment are a result of our egos.

You might be realizing how this is all relating to our initial statement of why we get mad when others challenge what we believe in. You may have already come to the conclusion that technically, WE do not get mad, our ego does. How do we know it is our ego? It’s simple. The information presented, or information we believe in, is not us. Our ego has taken that information and formulated an identity around it. When the information is challenged or attacked, we feel like we are being attacked and so we get upset. This is the egos way of defending itself and in essence, enslaving us. When someone attacks our favorite sports team or band, we get mad because we have created an identity around being a fan. As we now know, this is not who we truly are and it is not US being attacked. This same understanding can be applied to almost anything including religions, beliefs, clothing, hobbies, information etc. None of these things are us.
Steps to Un-Identifty With Ego

1. Remember that information is not you. When you are feeling attacked, observe your anger or discomfort developing. Observing is a great first step to see how things are working within you. If starting with yourself is tough, observe it in another first. Be sure not to judge them but instead simply observe what happens as emotions take control during the process.

2. Once you have observed how you react, make a conscious effort to notice that you are the observing being beyond the mind, the thoughts and the identity with the information. While this sounds profound, it is a simple realization that you had control over reacting and getting upset. Thus you, a separate entity, had control over the ego, which is not you. This realization is a big step in removing ego identity.

3. Continue to practice remaining conscious during these times without letting the ego take over again. As you continue to remain conscious, you will break the habit of ego identification and will be unfazed while others are challenging or attacking information you might believe in. Ultimately, this allows you to see truth behind information much more easily than when we are blinded by the ego.
